Full Moon in Leo | Summoning the Love Energy

Full Moon in Leo: Love like you have within you all the love
in the universe (because you do).

Let's talk about the love energy. What does love mean to us? Some people see love as an emotion, a feeling. While others also see it as an energy. According to Deepak Chopra, love includes affection but is more than affection. It associates itself with sexual desire, kindness, compassion, altruism, and mutual regard. And this couldn't be further from the truth. As a universal energy, love encompasses all things and is an eternal energy. It is an indestructible force that lies within every living being and beyond.

However, if it is indeed everlasting and eternal, what does it mean when people say they are out of love? In essence, there is no such thing as falling out of love. But there is such thing as letting our ego gets in the way of love. When ego gets in the way, we get fear instead, which is the opposite of love. This is not the kind of fear that we feel when we encounter something we deem to be frightening, but the kind of fear that can block our vision from what is true in our life.

Deep within us lies an imperishable well of love energy. And we can always summon this love whenever fear gets in our way. We can invoke this love even when it seems like there's no love left in our life. A love that transcends all time and space. A love that goes beyond the physical plane and material illusions. Be open to this love. Let this love move through us and out into everyone we encounter and everything we touch. We may want to control it, transform it or manipulate it sometimes, but love always bring with it the truth. The truth that love is omnipotent. That it is stronger than hate, more powerful than fear, and is what we are all made of. See love as a breeding ground in which we can find healing and plant new seeds of hope, wisdom and enlightenment.

Happy Full Wolf Moon! The Moon is in Leo opposing the Sun in Aquarius, marking a dramatic and witty Full Moon in the sign of the Lion. As the ruler of 5th House in Astrology, or the House of Romance, Creativity and Leisure, there is always an element of drama when it comes to Leo. More is almost always better to this sign, but it has to be expressed with a touch of class and beauty.

The name Wolf Moon itself comes from the hungry wolves that howl outside the Indian villages in the deep of winter. Thus, the name for January's Full Moon. Traditionally, it is also called the Old Moon or the Moon After Yule.

With a Full Moon happening in a heart-centered sign, we get to summon all the love that we have in our heart. There is courage in trusting that we can call upon this love whenever and wherever we are. A love that goes beyond all sorrows and insecurities. A love that remains bright in the darkest night of the Soul.

How can we recognize this love? Where is it really placed within us?

It lies deep in our heart. Beneath our fears and beyond the ego. We can feel this love whenever we remember who we truly are authentically, which is a soul and love embodying a physical body. Even if we don't believe in the concept of soul, we can feel this love whenever we are connected with our true nature, our essence, our truth. There is a sense of unending hope whenever we are at one with love. The feeling of being protected by an imperishable force that is bigger than us.

With the love planet Venus entering Capricorn joining Mercury Rx and Pluto, this Full Moon can also be a great time to release old, outdated beliefs we have about our career and make changes so that our work can become more meaningful and pleasurable to us.

The Full Moon is forming a square to Mars in Scorpio, and there can be a sense of restlessness brewing within guiding us to take a leap of faith and evolve beyond our current limitations. How secure are we feeling right now? Know that having the positive energy of faith and optimism can attract into our life more reasons to celebrate. Instead of looking too far ahead, why not celebrate the small victories we have achieved along the way? This doesn't mean that we should rest on our laurels, but to instead see those small victories as stepping stones to bigger and better things.

Discovering our inner drive and finding balance between the material and spiritual can also be possible at this time as we stay open to new insights. Perhaps we have been feeling a little stagnant, and trying to find a way to release bottled up emotions and creative expressions. Understand that our soul is connected to the infinite wisdom of the universe and we let our spirit soar whenever we let our creativity shine bright.

With the Moon's trine to Saturn and Uranus, the keywords are structure and surprise. What would our life be like without structure? And what would our life be like without elements of surprise? We need both in life because each has their own sacred purpose. Without structure, we couldn't survive. And within structure, creativity comes to life. The ability to transform inspirations into reality requires a certain level of dedication, motivation and structure in order to be successful.

The same goes with surprises. Instead of fearing the unknown, see surprises as gateways to elevate the mind. Whether good or bad, surprises come into our life to remind us of who we truly are. To shake us from the core so that we can see from a new and different perspective.

The Full Moon in Leo has come to remind us what it would be like if we were fearless. How would it be different if we had no fears? This doesn't mean that we need to be reckless or irresponsible. It means that perhaps it is our time to discourage fears and encourage fearlessness in the hope of living our life more authentically and sharing our light more truthfully.
